About-Host-Institute

Acharya Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology (ANDUAT), located in Kumarganj, Ayodhya, serves as the proud host institute and administrative head for our Krishi Vigyan Kendra. The foundation of this historic university was laid on January 15, 1974, by the then Prime Minister of India, Smt. Indira Gandhi.

For decades, the university has been a guiding force in the region, dedicated to advancing farming practices, creating new agricultural technologies, and supporting rural development across Uttar Pradesh.

The University's Vision

The overarching vision of the university is to drive agricultural development and secure a more prosperous future for the farming community. ANDUAT strives to be a leading center of excellence, solving modern agricultural challenges so that farmers can thrive.

Our Core Mission: Education, Research, and Extension

The university focuses on three main pillars to support the agricultural sector:

  • Education (Building Future Experts): The university trains students, scientists, and agricultural professionals who go on to support farmers and improve agricultural practices both locally and nationally.
  • Research (Creating Better Solutions): University scientists are constantly working to develop higher-yielding seed varieties, safer pest management techniques, and new farming technologies tailored specifically to our regional soil and climate conditions.
  • Extension (Bringing Knowledge to Your Farm): Through its extensive network of Krishi Vigyan Kendras—like ours here in Sant Kabir Nagar—the university ensures that its latest laboratory research is delivered directly to your fields. We act as the vital bridge between the university's scientific breakthroughs and your daily farming operations.
